Jai-ho by Rahman,Beer, lively atmosphere and IPL final. Sunday evening I carried myself to the pub for the IPL final. Located my self on the table for two, accompanied by a friend of mine.
Despite all the happening around I managed to spot an ANT on my circular wooden table (I think he was there to support Chennai). I saw it moving at the speed of 1mm/sec towards my Beer glass. It crossed all the obstacles coming in its way whether it may be ketchup, bottle, lighter or Ice bucket.
I thought of playing a game with it. Placed knife in front of it and tried to distract it in opposite direction. Again after a while I noticed obnoxious ant heading towards my beer glass with more speed this time (may be 2mm/sec). I think they have a very short memory .It encountered the same obstacles and charging in to meet my sword (knife) I did the same thing and same result, I succeeded. (OK, I know succeeded is wrong word here) .This happened one more time.
What one can deduce from this? - Ants are stupid or Humans are stronger (fuck off!!).
On a serious note, put this analogy to the life. Many a times in life we keep on facing challenges again and again. Sometimes we are through and some times jacked up. What's important is to keep on moving, irrespective of any number of failures, irrespective of direction. If you are moving, the probability is always higher that you‘ll reach your destination sooner or later instead of sitting and crying on spill over.
Ant was moving all the time and may be sometime later, when I was not noticing ,it may have escaped my inactive knife barrier.
Also one more important thing to notice is that as ants have small memory which kept on serving it that it was a new path even while it was traversing same old path every time. So Sometime it is helpful to forget your past baggage and keep on charging with more enthusiasm each time. Hopefully you'll succeed (its correct this time, chill!!).
Note - Beer tastes good with matches.
p.s. - Chennai won the IPL final by defeating Mumbai Indians,(poor Sachin). Also Mr. L.K. Modi delivered emotional speech with swollen ass. This IPL snatched the post of External Affairs Minister from Respected Mr. Shashi Tharoor (I mean the word ‘Respected’)

Ananya Swaminathan from IIMA .. girl to watch out for!!
Chetan Bhagat has done the trick again.I relieved the magic of five point someone. Just finished reading his last one - 2 states. Man.. what a sense of humor this fella has. Rib tickling one liners and first person narration in the book was awesome.
I felt disappointed after his last one (3 mistakes..) , may be after writing that he committed the fourth mistake.
But this one is far apart and best after the first one.
Story is about the marriage of Ananya swaminathan ( south Indian girl) and Krish Malhotra (Punjabi boy).
"Pretty" tamil brahmin girl from "Chennai" ( a bit fiction and more of oxymoron statement), and Punjabi Boy krish. Both stuck up in IIM-A . They fell in Love,They make love. They want to marry with their parents consent. As usual parents oppose this relationship.
Boy opt for the job posting at chennai to woo the girls parents. Start's giving tutions to girls brother , helps her father in presentation and mother in singing by organizing the music concert.
Gets the approval from girls parents .
Now its time for south Indian girl to be accepted in punjabi family. Girl flies down to Delhi to woo krish's parents. After some harsh treatment gets approval , with a twist in tale made by krish's crazy father.
Ended up in marrying in Tamil style and later on giving birth to twins after 2 years .
Seems to be a simple story so what is unexpected and look out for in this book.
Chetan Baghat's one liner , his desi way of story telling and first person narration. There can be many people on earth who must have started reading novel after five point someone and this one is another brick in the wall.
Here are some of the one liners from his book.
--Ananya's introduction in book --
"I stole a sideways glance -- definitely above average. Actually, well above average. In fact, outlier by IIM-A standards. '
'Ananya Swaminathan -- best girl in the fresher batch,' seniors had already anointed her on the dorm board. We had only twenty girls in a batch of two hundred. Good-looking ones were rare; girls don't get selected to IIM for their looks. They get in because they can solve mathematical problems faster than 99.9 percent of India's population and crack the CAT. Girls like Ananya, if and when they arrive by freak chance, become instant pin-ups in our testosterone-charged, estrogen-starved campus.) "
---Krish giving tution to ananya's brother manju--
Manju: "Krish Bhai.. Can something bad happen if you watch blue films?'
Krish: 'If you just watch them?'
Manju: 'Just watching....and' hesitantly,'and if you do something else afterwards.'.
Krish: 'Why dont you ask your Appa?'
Manju: 'Aiyo, what are you saying?".
Krish: 'You could become blind'-with a serious face.
Manju: 'Really'?
--When ananya ask krish to be just friends ---
"Why wud any guy want to be friends with a girl? It's like agreeing to be near a Chocolate cake & never eat it. It's like sitting in a racing car but not driving it. Only wimps do that."
--When ananya shifted to krish's room --
Even though she never said " I love you", Ms Swaminathan moved in with me.I had freaked out about the idea when she arrived at my room one day with a backpack for overnight clothes. I'd have much preferred her place, as I didn't want her to be the only woman in the dorm with twenty testosterone-charged men.
--When Krish's landlord turned up unexpectedly and Ananya was boozed off--
'Baby, I'm sleepy', she said, trying to pull me back into bed.
'My landlord is here', I said. She didn't respond even though i shook her maniacally.
'Your appa is outside', I said.
She sprang up on the bed. 'What

Pretty Girls behave best when you ignore them (Of course, they have to know you are ignoring them, for otherwise, they may not even know you exist).

After the Scene at Rathna Stores T Nagar.
Krish:'You shoudn't have kissed me there.why did u do it??
Ananya: Because I couldn't help it,you are irresistible sometimes'.
Alright Mrs swaminathan if your daughter can't resist me,there is no way you can either.
And many more to look out for.
Hopefully worth spending a hundred bucks. Just give it a try and enjoy.

miCAT- good one.....
last Sunday appeared for the end of season exam MICAT (mudra institute of communication and advertising ) . Center was at rohini , mount abu school. reporting time 8:15 in the morning . reached on time and was stunned to see the number of candidates at the test center . more than 500 students were there to write the exam . Later on came to know that there is only one center in Delhi so turn out is large .
As i was on time , test takers seem to be in no hurry .We were made to wait for 30 mins outside school premises . Made use of the time, looked around for some bombs and some left over shells. I was astonished to see my old friend there. What more can you expect , a college friend whom you discovered after 3 years on the bright Sunday morning and you are surrounded by some bombs . i was happy and did not knew that it was my day . looking at the board for the room no. , what ! , me and my friend were assigned in same room . F**k man ! how this can happen to anyone . ( i think we were destined to meet )
My friend quipped " are we supposed to give paper now, they have made a big time goof up " .
Room no 201 , 2nd row first seat and my friend was 4 seat behind me same row.
test duration 2.5 hours . 3 separate section . All i can say for this paper is , i salute to mica faculties for designing this type of paper . this is the true management paper and the best competitive exam i have ever written. ( all i am talking about the nature of paper irrespective of my performance ) .
test included what not : maths , logical reasoning , aptitude , English usage , general knowledge , story writing , essay writing , creativity and more over psychometric test .
it tested the every aspect one needs to have to become a good manager , unlike cat and other exam which only focuses on IIT tag .
huh ! i was totally bugged down after test .
2.5 hours sitting in school desk with my leg almost fighting with front wall. and many a times invigilator failing to stumble over my leg .
i am very much sure that i have done the charity to mica people this time as they wont be taking me in and there are only 120 seats in all . total number of students appeared across the country is 10,000(approx).
one should appear for this test , its a good one and at least you come to know where you stand in crowd .
make sure when u r screwed it should be clockwise so that u can remain stick else u ll fall apart .

Market(@)Value
I Was just thinking of writing something and galvanizing my thoughts .
I came up with this weird title MArket(@)value. (note MA is intentionally kept in caps so as to keep its market value above @)
Many a time in life each one of us sometime or other goes with the reality check and then try to personifies himself with term market value.( most of the time labeled by peers )
earlier this term is used with the commodity (any commodity ) but as the time is changing and we the human's becoming paranoid about everything around us so we decided to calculate our market value (treating human being as the commodity) .
Lets first take real commodity whose market value can actually be determined . For example take a laptop . Now when deciding the commodity price of a laptop there comes two very important factors namely a) real part b ) cosmetic part .
real part accounts for the configuration , robustness , durability , (and other n number of things which you can think of)
Cosmetic part accounts for color , looks , x-fctr, sleek, eye -catching factor and brand name .
so the laptop having the best market value must have both the qualities embodied in it.
is this true for human beings also ? I wonder and am quiet skeptical about it or rather you can say indifferent about this.( you must be thinking if this person is indifferent about this then why the hell is he writing this shit )
Moving ahead ( as i cannot control my thoughts) in my opinion humans do have market value but the formula for calculation involves more than 2 facors(real and cosmetic) . we do lay our emphasis on these factors and over and above more to the cosmetic part but on the foundation of real one. The third and most important thing in the empirical formula for calculating the market value of humans is REFRIENECTION , may be you must not have heard of this term before ( i have just cooked it,Friends+Connections with the spice of REAL) Hope now you have understood the meaning of this . Elaborating further on this variable , REFRIENECTION is having connection with the real friends . Higher the value of this variable, more will be your market value . Important to note is that the REAL plays an important part in this . Real means real ( other words are too mean to define real ). This value is subjective . For most of the lucky people on earth this value can land between 2-4( this means you can have at the most 2-4 real friends and if you suppose that your number is higher ,then you are in illusion and you need to go for reality check ) . Even for the Hush puppies creator Mr. Gladwell ( One of the greatest socialist of his time in Italy's fashion world) his value for this variable was 3 i.e. at the time of crisis he was able to get himself connected with only 3 of his real friends. There are many more instances in history whom you can look up to for this .
I am in no mood to discourage the number of followers one has on social networking sites but all i can make out that its very difficult to find and to be connected with your real friends during the crest and trough of life .
i dedicate this term (REFRIENECTION ) to all those who took time to read this post . Hoping some day this word may find its place in oxford dictionary below refrigeration .

"dont try to be a tangent to the surrounding be the secant "
I have just coined this phrase, for this blogg's description .
i would like to give a little bit insight about this .
being a tangential to a surrounding means although one is an intrinsic part of the society but one still tries to keep himself/herself aloof from it . One may just touches the society at some point (that can be vital or insignificant it is totally subjective ) but does not let others to intervene ,or to be precise the society, into oneself .
Where as the person exhibiting the characteristic of secant may be knowing the society inside out . deeply involved in others and being the vital part of the society (social animal ).
Whereas one with the tangential point of view can be of rational ideology (this too is subjective ) and at time (most of the time ) being considered as weed (unwanted ) .
Society should try and understand that rather this weed (tangential or rational person ) is indeed not required in the society but should not forget that it can change lot of properties of the society . I am not advocating one to be tangential but rather i am trying to be secant to the society (which also changes the properties ) .
To be an ideal in the society one needs to be a diameter , who is responsible for the condition of the society as a whole.
hope i am able to make my point clear .
